Wishing and Hoping (and Loving)

wishing and hoping || for some sun and warmth.  It’s cold here right now, the kind of cold that bites you all the way down to the bones and sinew.

loving || that we’re going to get some the weekend in Dallas when we meet up with Tahd.  I’ve been stalking weather.com for hopeful news, and so far, it’s delivering!

wishing and hoping || to remodel my bathroom.  Most specifically, my bathtub.  Tahd and I would like to move to a more “country” location in the not horridly distant future, and we think it will be important to update our bathroom before then.  Now that we’ve made this determination, I want to do it NOW so we get a chance to fully enjoy the update.  Granted, we have no imminent plans to either remodel or move, so the “not horridly distant future” might actually be forty two years from now.  Who knows.  But I still want to update the bathroom.

loving || House Hunters International.  It is feeding my desire to live in a sunnier climate.  Like Tahiti.  I currently find myself watching it morning, noon, and night.

wishing and hoping || for some time to read and write.  We each got new books for Valentines Day, and I may or may not have a few other new books on my Nook app just waiting to be devoured.

loving || podcasts.  I just recently realized that my phone has an app devoted just to podcasts and there are hours of scintillating material out there waiting to be savored during my 2+ hours per day commute.  My newest favorites are Simple Mom, The Happiest Mom, and Clickin’ Moms. I’m sensing a theme here…

wishing and hoping || that Isla starts waking up only once at night without having to go through a tearful process.  Currently, I see her twice on a good night, and not every night is good.

loving || midnight snuggles.  I love that we’re still nursing.  I love that her teeth are in enough that she doesn’t bite me anymore.  :)

wishing and hoping || that Matthew isn’t really dead.  And that Season 4 isn’t too far off.  Not thinking it looks good on either count.  Anyone else a fan?  How did you feel about the season finale?  Aren’t you glad you weren’t in Britain having to watch that finale on Christmas day?

loving || running during Downton Abbey.  It keeps me motivated.  Or distracted.  Yeah, probably distracted.  What am I going to do now?  Suggestions for a new show?

Thank you for your prayers for Isla and her magnets.  We followed up with a new x-ray on Monday morning, and although I (thought I) had meticulously gone through her diapers without finding anything, I must have missed it because her x-ray was entirely clear!  Loving that!
